In 2020 I started on this journey of wanting , or needing rather, to go within in order to achieve the life that I’ve always wanted for myself. I was betraying myself. I was belittling myself. I was a people pleaser and overly accommodating. This was all a result of truly NOT understanding my true worth, my inherent value, my light and the positive impact I could make in this world by simply living an authentic life.
On September 27 of 2020 , a culmination of insecurities and self doubt all came to a head. I experienced a breakthrough, a spiritual awakening. I was reminded of who I am. Since then, I have been on this journey of self discovery, self love and self acceptance.
I am learning to trust myself implicitly. God navigates all my steps and my actions. I am loving myself more. I am appreciating myself more. I am refusing to shrink so that others may feel bigger. I am becoming that version of me that God envisioned while creating me.
I feel the shift when I enter a new season. It’s palpable. I’m led to do things and move in ways that only make me better. It’s a knowing. It’s very comforting. I am beyond thankful and grateful to be this loved. It’s humbling. It motivates me. It empowers me. It has made me a creator.
